We must support the bill introduced every year by Representative John Shadegg, a republican from Arizona, called the Enumerated Powers Act that would require all bills introduced in the U.S. Congress to include a statement setting forth the constitutional authority for the bill. The passage of this bill would begin to bring our government back in line with the Constitution. But the current legislature is not interested in that taking place. Only a few Representatives and no Senator has any interest in this bill.
